Don't Let Your Adsense Account Get Banned, Follow The Rules!

This short post is just a quick highlight of the main reasons why people get their Google Adsense accounts suspended, its intent is to stop people from making the same mistakes.
  1. No Privacy Policy - Google requires this for all sites with Adsense, this is the biggest thing I have read about people getting banned or suspended for.
  2. Don't encourage or ask for clicks.
  3. Don't click on your own ads or make bots, Google will find out.
  4. Don't put Google ads on illegal/adult sites.
  5. Don't put Adsense ads on pages with hardly any content. (I actually had a warning about this, though I will admit I abandoned that blog after one post without realizing I left ads on it.)
  6. Don't put Advertisements in floating boxes. (Anything that moves or attracts attention like this, really you don't want to even risk this.)
  7. Don't clutter your pages with Adsense ads, there is a limit per page and if you don't know it you need to look up the Adsense TOS.
  8. Don't put Adsense ads anywhere that it becomes impossible to tell its an ad, or somewhere that would create false positive clicks (under an image or something?).

A big mistake some people try to get away with is walking the line, or barely abiding by Google's policies. Anything you think of to circumvent Google's policies has been tried before and now Google knows about it. They even do things such as analyzing visitor browsing habits, check for proxies that click ads, and more. (Take a look at Google Analytics if you don't believe me.)

Basically the walk away message from this post is you want to make sure your account doesn't get banned then don't do anything you wouldn't want people to do with Ads/Advertising Funds for your own site. (And add a free Adsense Compliant Privacy Policy)

I hope this post has helped some people save their Adsense account, if you need more clarification then this post I found may help you. If you still have unanswered questions the best thing to do is try to get an answer from Google before trying it.

Please take all scam claims to a different blog.

Google is too big of a company for them to worry about scamming you out of a couple dollars, plus they lose your business by suspending/banning you which means they are losing money aswell. (That was the common sense part lol)
