Here is a list of some good free hosts and a few different paid hosts that will host a
WordPress blog for you. This list is in no specific order however if you aren't interested in buying a domain name and you don't already
own one then I would skip straight to blogger, the other hosts on this
list will require you to have your own domain name (yourdomain.com). You can get cheap domain names at NameCheap.com.
Free Blog Hosting
If you are on a budget or simply don't want to invest in something like professional hosting, you can get your blogs hosted on a free Web Host. These can have slower support ticket answers, a little more downtime, and are bit less secure but they will get the job done well enough
and for free.
Blogger
Blogger is just great. Theres no other way to put this. That is why this blog is hosted with Blogger instead of my own private host.
*Good WP Host
GoodWPHost.com offers free WordPress hosting to bloggers and even give extra resources to popular blogs when nesassary.
Byet Host /
000WebHost
These hosts are practically the same in features and a great place to host your first blog. (Byet Host has had issues with registration though in the past.)
Paid Blog Hosting
If you are interested in paid hosting then the following links are
perfect for you. I have tried my best to label these hosts according to
my own experiences with them. None of these are affiliate links, they go
straight to the web host so these are not just recommended to
make me money.
HostGator
This is one of the web hosting giants, they truly live up to their
slogan "We eat the competition". Any issues I have ever had were fixed
in a timely manner once they were notified about it. (I will say that the affiliate sales program is very sketchy though, it doesn't record most clicks/commissions and I log those kind of outgoing links to verify.)
WebHostingBuzz
This web host has been around for a good while and are a major web-host, although I have to admit their support wasn't the greatest when I tried them out.
Eleven2
They have been around for a while and are known to be good hosts, however they do claim that larger orders are fraud and ask for verification before completing your order. (This happened to me last year.)
I hope this quick list will help you get your blog started and
please don't forget to comment or bookmark!
